Stephanie’s Bridals!

by Pepper

We actually shot Stephanie’s bridals over a month ago, but she wanted these to be a surprise for her fiancĂ© on the wedding day, so we’ve had to sit tight on sharing these sexy, smoldering images until then. And its been tough!! As of tonight, however, Danny & Stephanie are married and we are free to give you a glimpse of some highlights from our session with this beautiful Texas transplant. We began our session in downtown Salt Lake City at the hip, industrial Pierpont Place – a very cool new space and a much needed addition to Salt Lake’s event center offerings. Any bride looking for a bit of urban chic must check it out. The glazed cement floor of this space is just gorgeous! Check out the reflections! Mmmm….shiny….

Then we headed over to the famous La Caille for a change of mood.

Pepper, your images are awesome. I love how you use light. Are you using your 85 1.2, or maybe the new 50 1.2. I liked reading about your candle rule, 3 candles per person. Candles are awesome. I have written you a few times in the past for advise, and you always come through. Thanks for being so willing to share. I’m starting a small blog. I love how my customers can look the next day and see some images. Blog–web.mac.com/ibob5.

    Thanks Pepper and Mitch

Hey Bob! I think on most of these images we actually shot with the 70-200 [I was really feeling that lens on this particular shoot] but we absolutely used that 85mm on a few of these to take advantage of Steph’s amazing eyelashes! BTW, we got the play with the 50 1.2 yesterday [I'm writing a new post all about it] and it is like butter, seriously one of the best lenses I’ve ever had my hands on and I can’t wait to go and buy it. For all of you who are on the fence about the brnad spanking new 50, just go and play with it for a little while, you will be amazed! Perfect for low light, and the focusing was fast and dead on.

Hello there these are gorgeous images. I was wondering on the 40 style lighting what you are using as your light source? I love how on some of the wedding shots also it looks like the subjects are pinpointed with perfect light, like a video light. Thanks so much!
    Best wishes
