Stein Eriksen Lodge | Angella + Erik
by Pepper
We were featured in the 10th Anniversary edition of Utah Bride and Groom! I was excited to shoot such a gorgeous wedding, which also happened to be my 30th birthday! Seriously, if you’re going to work on your birthday, make sure it’s a cool couple and that you’re going to have a blast. I sure did!!! Angella and Erik were married up at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Park City, followed by a stunning reception at world famous Stein Eriksen Lodge.
The magazine cover was shot by Adam Finkle, always classy, forever flawless

The article followed the Bride and Groom hour by hour through their wedding day.

Angella and Erik were married at St. Mary’’s Catholic Church nestled in the hills of Park City It was an extra special day because Erik’s entire family from Denmark were able to attend!! After an almost impossible attempt to narrow them down, here are some of my favorite images from the day…

The bride had all of her bridesmaids sign the bottom of her shoe, and the tradition is that the one whose name you can still read at the end of the night will be the next to be married.

They had a pretty large wedding party which made for big, dramatic pictures. The more the merrier I always say!

The flowers were absolutely exquisite, they were designed by Artichokes and Company
.

Isn’t this simply the most stunning Catholic church?! I love weddings at St. Mary’s, the light coming in from the west means I never have to use a flash and breathes life into the main chapel.

Lillie Garrido of Soiree Productions was the coordinator for Angella and Erik, and she made sure they had a charter bus for their guests to travel all together to the reception. It is really a great idea, especially since you get to bring your own alcohol, which is always a plus! Alcohol = happy groomsmen = great pictures.

Their reception was at the beautiful Stein Eriksen Lodge, the cocktail hour being on the main patio and the reception being in the ballroom.

The music was provided by the ever-fabulous Joe Muscolino Band!

Soiree had a beautiful presentation for the seating cards, each one hand written calligraphy tied to a shaft of wheat, which was symbolic to the bride and groom.

This was right before their grand entrance. Angella and Erik were actually alone for a few moments before and took the time to practice their first dance one final time.

Stein Eriksen catering did a flawless job making such an elegant cake to match the taste of the Bride and Groom.

The maid of honor made a hilarious toast including pompoms to poke fun at the bride’s cheerleading past! Seriously Kellie, your toast remains my Best Toast Ever.

Next, it was the grooms turn to be roasted!

Angella and Erik, thank you for including me in your special day, it was a great day for me as well, and thank you so much for the gift of Stein Eriksen chocolates, I’m not usually a fan of chocolate but I can tell you these magnificent creations were stunning to look at and delicious to eat! After speaking personally with Chef Raymond, I realize now that I don’t dislike chocolate in general, I just have discerning taste!

I also really loved this wedding! So pretty and classic. The bride and groom seem like such a fun couple. Your photos of the church are amazing. My favorite photo of this whole feature, though, is the image of Angella holding her bouquet adorned with her late brother’s crucifix—such a gorgeous, meaningful image. Thank you for sharing this wedding with Utah Bride & Groom!
