It is official, I have a head cold. The NyQuil knocked me out for a while, but then I was awake again, and a DVR chock full of Ace of Cakes, Doctor Who, and Colbert Report couldn’t coax me back to sleep, so here I am! I know, this is insane, because I am NEVER up before 8am [thankfully neither is my son!] but it works out pretty well actually. Since I’ve been gone or traveling all week, my inbox has climbed up to 270. That’s a lot of email to get through, so an early start is just what I needed today! I’m all hopped up on DayQuil now [Seriously, God bless whoever invented these 2 drugs]. Here are a few of my favorite images from Brynne’s bridal session, it was so touch to decide because we ended up with so many that were fantastic!
OK, really quick post tonight. I just got back from LA [quick trip to meet with a bride] and the meeting went awesome, but now my head is pounding! I don’t think it is possible to catch a bug this quickly, so it must’ve been from my trip yesterday from Vegas. Anyway, I’ve been taking NyQuil so I’ll be asleep soon, but I did want to share some more pictures, I’ve really been digging blogging these lately! Oh, and in case you heard my rant yesterday on Facebook, I did get the blog software issues settled, using a combination of Wordpress and Ecto. Crazy, isn’t it? I have to use 2 separate programs to get my online journal to look the way I want it to! I think that’s just nutty.
What a crazy and busy week! I just got back from the wedding photography convention in Las Vegas, and then I was immediately back on a plane there again! This time for the International Catering Convention at the Hilton, it was huge! My good friend Mary Crafts, owner of famed 5 time award winning Best of State Culinary Crafts, was asked to host a mock wedding reception, and she asked me to come down and document all the hard work her crew had put in to make it happen! I promise I’ll have pictures of it, but first, I have to finish telling the story of Jessi and Jay! [See previous post with playful/sexy engagement pictures!] Jessi and Jay had their wedding at the timeless restaurant,
I’m back! Back from where? Back from the annual

I have been saving writing about this wedding for one of those really crappy weather days, and today was most decidedly a crappy weather day. Well, not so much crappy, and I was just totally unprepared for it. It’s Monday, and on Mondays my nanny is off so it is kinda my day to be with my new son Zen and play. We went out to run a few errands, and it was so sunny and bright I didn’t even wear a coat, and I neglected to put socks on him. [I'm not that terrible of a mom, if i put them on he just rips them off anyway, so it would've ended in the same result regardless. That's what I like to tell myself anyway...] But we ran into one store, and 15 minutes later outside it was a freaking blizzard!!! i know the weather changes quickly in Utah, but i thought it was a bit ridiculous. We made it back to the car somewhat unscathed, he was safe swaddled in his car seat with feet covered in blanket, but I was actually covered in snow! So, tonight, I am going to be warm in my thoughts, and recall shooting this incredible summer wedding on the beaches of sunny Orange County California!
