Millennial Falls | Karissa + Andrew’s Wedding Day
by Pepper
I have just come to an important realization, when you suddenly see yourself doing the same type of behavior over and over again? Yeah, I just had that moment. Today’s epiphany is that I only blog when the weather outside is either snowing or raining. I mean, it kinda makes sense, right? If the weather was great, I’d be out playing in it! I can’t believe that last week I was showing Zen the volleyball court for the first time! And now, it’s back buried under a foot of snow. I know ther are many people who really perk up when it gets cold outside, btu I am just not one of them. When it’s cold, my instinct is to hunker down with soup and cocoa. Video games also help, but I haven’t touched my Xbox in a few months now! Which is not a bad thing, it means my brides are keeping me so busy I don’t have time! I talked with a great couple this weekend Nicky & Sohil, asking about pictures from Millennial Falls. So this is perfect, because not only do I get to show them my work, but it was the most perfect beautiful day! Just like it was last week, when I introduced my son to our non-snowy backyard, and he was able to walk around it for the first time. A Perfect Day.
The Perfect Day for Andrew & Karissa was actually a perfect weekend. A bridal luncheon at La Caille…

… Followed by a rehearsal dinner in downtown Salt Lake City…

… and then a Tiffany Blue wedding at Millennial Falls the next day!

Karissa and Andrew have 5 children, including 2 sets of twins, so life will never get boring!!!

OOPS!!! You’re supposed to drop the petals, not the basket!

Everything turned out OK. Once the flower girl stopped for a few minutes to scoop all the wayward petals back in her basket [amid much laughter from the guests], the ceremony resumed.

Karissa’s dad had told me he was going to do something unexpected after he successfully completed the hand-off to Andrew, so here it is: The Pump.

The ceremony was conducted by the talented Rev. Anita Gordon, if you are in need of an officiant, she always makes me laugh and cry in a ceremony.

Andrew’s parents ended up being too frail to make the trip. Everyone did all that they could to help them to be able to experience the wedding, with webcams and cell phones, but this was very moving to Andrew especially, his father giving a blessing to the couple via phone. They were able to broadcast it over the speaker system so we could hear it.

As we wrapped up the few couple pictures at sunset, I noticed this on the hillside next to us…

Thank you so much for letting me document this amazing weekend for you and your families!
