This is Simone and Andrew! Brides will ask me what we’re doing for an engagement session, and the answer is that I’m trying to find out more about the couple, how they interact with each other. Plus, it gives you, the Couple, a chance to get to know me behind the camera and see if i am actually a cool person or not! I do offer a free engagement sitting with every wedding booked, I think it is THAT important that we do this to get to know each other a bit better, I tihnk that the pictures on the wedding day are better for it. Plus, then I’m not a stranger! Always a plus.
This is a fun wedding where I got some shots I really love! Jessica and Roger were married at the Bountiful Latter-Day Saint temple with a reception that evening at
Just a few fun shots I would like to share from Amanda & Cory’s engagement session…
OMG, do you just love this cake or what?! But I’m getting ahead of myself, we’ll get to that… This is Amanda and Cory’s wedding, who met and began dating in the EIGHTH GRADE. That’s right, this wedding was about 13 years in the making. There were many things that made this wedding great, but I think I have to say my favorite was the scheduling. That may sound pretty boring, especially since I’m teasing you with one of the fabulous details of the day, but as the photographer, I loved the schedule! We started around noon, and everything was very relaxed, very calm, no drama, everyone was getting ready and putting on makeup and having fun together! Having this laid-back day allowed people to just chill. Excellent!
Here is is, Part III of Lindsey and Matthew’s wedding! Remember the time constraint on the wedding day? By the time the happy couple had exited the Temple, we had 90 mintes between then and the beginning of the wedding reception 45 miles away in traffic! So we decided right there that we would cut temple pictures short and not risk being late for the guests, and then ome back to the temple on a different day and get all the beautiful portraits. Matthew was especially happy we did it so soon after the wedding, he plays basketball for BYU and wanted to shave his head for the practice season! Here are a few of my favorites from of the hundreds we shot that afternoon…
How much fun is this?! So then 2 weeks after their wedding, Lindsey and Matthew asked me to come and document their 2nd wedding reception in Orange County too! I was loving it, because whereas on the wedding day I didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time with them because of time constraints, on this day we were able to spend several hours together! The day started off early, with Lindsey’s hair and makeup again styled by
It’s finally here!!!! Spring has arrived! Yesterday on my day off [I take Monday's off since I am working each Saturday] I did something I had never done before. I laid out on the warm grass in the bright sunshine with my son, and we sang and got dirty and had a blast. Last year he was just too little for any sort of roughhousing, and it’s been cold or wet until now. So, ladies and gentlemen, I am going to make an official announcement for the State of Utah. Spring is here, it’s really here. And I don’t care if it does snow again, because then it’ll be winter’s turn to be embarrassed. Oh yeah Cold Front? Um, you weren’t really invited to the party we are having…. Yeah, I’m afraid I’m going to have to ask you to leave… Along with this Official Announcement, I’d like to share a fav wedding from warm days!
