Argentina Wedding [Day 5] – The Wedding Day
by Pepper
Well, here it is, this is the Wedding Day for Francesca and Dan! We woke up early on Saturday morning and everyone took taxis to the meeting point, so we could all climb on a charter bus to drive to the wedding ceremony location, which was about 90 minutes outside of Buenos Aires.
The ceremony was held at Estancia La Figura, which is an amazing estate rich with the political history of Argentina. It was large enough to fit all of the guests, and so secluded and magestic that we all felt like we were staying on an estate of Europe a few hundred years ago! Except for the HD flat screens with digital cable and wireless internet access [giving me constant access via my iPhone], it could have been very easy to forget what year it was…
Please forgive me for showing what I know are far too many images for a blog post, but it is my 300th wedding and I am so excited about it!

This box was a special box that Francesca had seen in an antique store she wanted, Dan got her the box and proposed with the rings inside and the decided to use it for the ceremony instead of a ring pillow.

Another reason you always want to have two photographers at your wedding!

We did all of our family pictures, group portraits and couple portraits prior to the ceremony, it was great to be able to have that much time with everyone because the grounds were huge and we never would have been able to get all the incredible shots we did if we had to cram them into 30 minutes after the ceremony!

Who doesn’t love a pony??!! This little guy was only a week old and one of the most beautiful creatures I have ever seen… And his job was to wander La Figura and add to the quaintness.. He did an excellent job, I must say.

An Argentine custom: instead of the bouquet toss, they do the Charm Pull. Each single woman chooses a string, and at the same moment, they all pull. At the end of each string is a different charm, and each one corresponds to something different [one means love, one is luck, one is wealth, one is happiness, one means a duck will break into your home and take a swim in your pool, you get the idea..]

Thank you so much Francesca and Dan, this was such an amazing honor to be able to document this week for you and your guests, I can’t begin to tell you how much fun we had! The Wedding Album is going to be a work of Art!
Love, Pepper & Co.

So many favorites in this bunch! But i’ll have to go with the shot of Gabriel holding the 3 bottles of wine, the shot of Ashley dropping the rose petals (not shown: Ashley dumping the basket and running for mommy at the sight of Junior) and the picture of Julie behind the “fan”.
And Pepper, the bride was a bit miffed that you took more photos of that darned pony than you did of her! J/K

What a magical day! Not only did you capture the essence of the wedding day, but you captured the essence of the couple. These are stunning! Have I mentioned how jealous I am?
