Album Monday | Deer Valley | Silver Lake Lodge | Sara + Jay

Sorry about posting the Album Monday segment so late in the day, I have been struggling all day long with my blog editing program and finally decided to give up and just use a different editor! Thank you for your patience, I hope it’s worth the wait!
This is an album I’ve been excited about completing for a long time. Sara is a doctor finishing her residency in Washington DC, and you may or may not know this, but residents have no time. At all. No time to eat, sleep, or finalize album designs! So here it is at long last!
Part of the reason Sara had to take so long to approve this Book was its sheer size – 300 sides holding almost 500 images!!!
She and Jay really liked the modern style of the Books, but wanted to keep it also timeless, and so they upgraded the black tweed cover to a black leather cover. This book is 8″ x 8″ square, so lying open it is 16″ wide.
In addition to their own Book, Sara and Jay decided to get identical Books for their Parents as well, to thank them for their role in the wedding.
One fun touch they brought to their unadorned album was custom printed end sheets. Deer Valley resort is surrounded by Aspen trees everywhere. It seems a very fitting opening and closing to Sara and Jay’s story, as the ceremony and reception both took place at Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Lodge. It also serves as a reminder to the couple of their wedding surroundings, since they both live on the East Coast and don’t get back to Utah as often as they would like. I’ve done a lot of Books, but this design with these custom end sheets is my favorite.
Because the colors of the wedding were so vibrant, Sara & Jay opted for the Premium Glossy Paper, to have their images pack as much saturation as possible.
