Mountain Life Church | Karen + Roger | Wedding Ceremony
by Pepper
Man, I am sore. Really sore. I’m training to do a sprint triathlon in San Diego with my BFF Sara [because they always hold 5Ks and Sprint triathlons on Saturdays here in Salt Lake City!!! Grrrr....] and I think I may have overdone it just a bit today at the gym.
My training schedule said it was a swim day, and because the lanes close early, I decided i would be smart and swim before I met with my trainer for the free weights portion. Big mistake. But it’s cool, I’ve learned now. You do your weight lifting first, and THEN your cardio. Otherwise, you end up walking like me, a stiff-legged robot person… But, I’m a glutton for punishment, so I’ll be back at it tomorrow. I know that Sara swam for 25 minutes today, so that’s what I have to beat! Just not today…. [ow, my legs hurt!]
Karen and Roger had been planning their Park City mountain wedding for over a year, so when the big day finally arrived I couldn’t really believe it! So much time and thought had gone into it, and now suddenly here it was. That happens a lot with me, when I’ve been working with a couple for a while. I feel like we’ve gotten into a groove, a routine, and we talk to each other constantly about the Wedding, making plans for pictures and locations and then just talking about anything.
So even though it wasn’t a surprise that the wedding day was fast approaching, I felt like it was kind of sprung on me when I looked at the calendar and realized that my wedding for the week was Karen’s wedding, and that after the wedding, she would move to Canada with Roger and then we wouldn’t be talking about the wedding anymore!!!
Karen had a blue heart sewn into the bodice of her Rivini gown that took care of her something blue as well as something old – the fabric was from her own mother’s wedding dress. Rivini gowns are available locally only through White Couture Bridal in Park City.

Pahla Dahlberg and Co. made all the women look gorgeous with perfect makeup and hair

We left Silver Lake Lodge and headed to the ceremony site – Mountain Life Church

Roger shows off the um, stragetically placed ring boxes…

The was a first for me – A Kazoo exit!

And we’re off! More of Karen & Roger’s Deer Valley wedding tomorrow!

Pepper, these photos look great. Karen was so beautiful and wonderful to work with. Her gown is gorgeous on her. The bridesmaids look great too! I loved all of the meaningful details we were able to provide to the wedding day attire as well as the planning and coordination. Soiree Productions was lucky to be involved with planning this beautiful day in Park City! I am so glad White Couture was able to create the perfect look for her too. Thanks for sharing this beautiful wedding. I have some photos and detail information on the design on our blog at http://www.soireeproductions.com/blog

I love the one of the bride staring at her reflection with her on-looking brides maids…what a great moment…you filled the frame so perfectly.

Thanks Joanna! Anytime you’re looking for a bit of inspiration [or a bit of what not to do!] come and hang out here! LOL Seriously though, I miss you, I didn’t even get to see you at WPPI [although I did run into a bunch of Denver peeps, Barry, sexy Joe, Travis] but where were you?!
